Field, Forest and Family update
By Tessa Bunney on 12 May 2011I’m excited to announce that I have just received a Grants for the Arts award from Arts Council England to continue my Field, Forest and Family project in Northern Laos and will be returning there in September to undertake research for a longer trip planned for next year.
For some time I have been working with the ethnic minority women in China and Laos scanning their textiles and clothing in situ and bringing other items home to be photographed. Part of the award will enable me to purchase a battery-powered light so that I can work in remote rural villages and photograph objects which cannot be removed.
