In this weeks British Journal of Photography (28.1.09) there’s a feature about The Travel Photographer of the Year Competition and my photograph of Cao – incense stick making village from Home Work appears on p 12-13 as a full page and a bit spread.

Back in early 2008 I posted off my CD of images and proposal for the BJP’s Project Assistance Award from Hanoi (wondering if it would even get there!) and was lucky enough to get featured in the 5th March issue of the BJP.
Selected from a longlist of 51 published entries in last year’s BJP, which in turn were chosen from more than 1500 submitted portfolios, I recently found out that I have been shortlisted along with 7 other photographers and following a group meeting in London in early Feb must now write an extended, fully costed proposal for my…

I’m very excited to be one of 6 artists selected for Art Connections ‘Inspired by Heritage’ residency programme. During 2009 I will be artist in residence at Newby Hall near Ripon, a private Georgian family home and garden owned by the Compton family. The house and garden is open to the public between April and September. I will be producing new work for an exhibition and running a series of community workshops.
