Bay Lines – Beach of Dreams, Summer 2023
Over the August bank holiday weekend, I photographed the installation events which were the culmination of the Bay Lines – Beach of Dreams project, a great big celebration of everything Morecambe Bay commissioned by Morecambe Bay Partnership.
The events took place all around the Bay – Walney Island, Grange-over-Sands, Arnside and Morecambe, the 120 Morecambe Bay pennants were walked in to join the 500 silk pennants already in place.
The 120 Morecambe Bay pennants each represent a story about one mile of the 120 miles of the Morecambe Bay coastline. I chose Mile 1 – Fleetwood Rossell Point to the River Wyre and my story and pennant are inspired by the local shrimpers I met there. You can read all the stories on the Ways Around the Bay website.
